You can design a brand around a business. But when the business is gone what remains is the person who built it. Their face, their story, their particular way of being in the world. The brand is a construction. The founder is a truth.

Every portrait session I deliver includes digital files. That is not the question. The question is what role those files play, and whether the file is the point or the object is the point. In my work the answer has always been the same.

Somewhere on your phone right now there are thousands of photographs. Birthdays, dinners, holidays, ordinary Tuesdays that felt worth recording at the time. When did you last look at any of them?

Most families have one. The person who is always behind the camera. The one who appears in almost none of the photographs but is responsible for most of them. This is that story, and an invitation to finally step into the frame.
